Death of a Tivo

I think a startling number of posts on this blog of mine are related to the death of electronics.

I have just ahd a death in the family. My first Tivo has departed from this world. *sniff* I was just watching a re-run of "Holmes on Homes" and it croaked. My girlfriend almost had a panic atack when she found out, as she had a few episodes of other shows saved that she's been meaning to watch.

It is a double kick in the pants, as I had upgarded this Tivo to hold over 140 hours of stuff, so it was the backbone of my home entertainment center. I will have to revert to my secondary TiVo, but at only 40 hours, It may not be able to keep me entertained for long :P You'd think I watched alot of TV or something :)

In other news, I sucessfully got my motorcycle permit last month. I'm eligible to go for my road test come mid-October, but I may have to hold off until the spring as the old bike I'm borrowing from my dad is having a few electrical issues. Hopefully I can get them sorted out in the next week, and do my test for my license. Else, I'll take care of it early in the spring.

This is a pic of a bike like the one i'm riding now :
Its pretty fun to ride. If I can get it tuned up and running right, it may even be fun to ride next summer. I am thinking about geting a new bike though... maybe something post-millenium.
